Hi there! I’m Summer or Mai Li, either works. I'm excited to have been with the Advocate for two semesters now! Currently, I’m majoring in General Integrated Studies with the plan to eventually transfer. I've loved my journey here and, as Social Media Manager, I hope to promote the endless talent within this news forum. The name of this organization encompasses exactly why I write: to advocate.
It is my goal to spread awareness on topics revolving around social justice and human rights. My articles will share local stories and events educating all sorts of viewers. I don’t intend to waste this platform so I hope you’re ready to be hearing a lot from me; I’ve been told I’m a pretty loud person.
