There are a lot of things wrong with Montgomery College’s website, and even that’s probably an understatement. But my biggest gripe — and probably yours, as well — is that you have to navigate the hedge maze that is MyMC to get to your MC mail inbox. However, there’s a little known trick that allows you to automatically forward all your MC mail to your regular mail account. Interested? I knew you’d be.
1. Log in to your MyMC account.
Go ahead. I’ll wait for you.
Done? Good.
2. Now click on that big ol’ email icon in the top-right corner of the screen.
You should now have that separate pop-up window with all your email stuff open. At the top of that window, you should see four tabs: Mail, Calendar, Address Book, and Options.
3. Select “Options.”
And scroll down and you should see Mail Forwarding.
4. Check the box for “Enable Forwarding.”
We’re almost done, I promise.
5. Insert your personal email of choice into the “Email Address” field and hit “Add.”
That’ll include it on your MC mail forwarding list. And voilà! It’s as simple as that. Now your MC mail will automatically be forwarded to your personal email account, and you’ll never have to visit MyMC for your school email needs again.
I should note that any professors out there won’t be able to use this trick, as faculty mail doesn’t have a forwarding option.
