On Tuesday, March 7, Professor Pablo Saelzer, Director of the Metropolitan Orchestra in MC, directed a concert in the Robert E. Parilla Performing Arts Building.
The concert began with “The Spring from The Four Seasons,” by Antonio Vivaldi: The Allegro, the Largo, and the Danza Pastorale. It was a wonderful piece with Jorge Orozco as concertmaster. They were conducted by a guest conductor.
After “The Spring,” they performed “Summer from The Four seasons of Buenos Aires,” composed by Astor Piazzolla. Araidna Buonviri played the violin and Tomas Farjado was the guest conductor.
Then they performed “Sinfonia Concertante K. 297b,” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The Allegro, the Adagio, and the Andantino con variazioni. During that performance, Julia Allal played the oboe, Evan Solomon played the clarinet, Ari Allal played the bassoon, Dinia Yeo played the horn and Professor Pablo Saelzer directed. When the Symphony ended, they began the 15-minute intermission.
When the intermission was over, Tia Wortham ( a soprano) sang the “Aria Concertante” for Soprano and “Piano” by Mozart, directed by Saelzer and with Jolie Lin in the piano.
The concert concluded with the “Symphony No. 5” in B- flat major, by Franz Schubert. The Allegro. It was a very fun spectacle for everyone.
