Montgomery College Seeks Three Students to be MC Votes Ambassadors

MC Votes at Montgomery College is a voter education group formed by faculty, staff, and students who encourage, educate and engage students to vote. The MC votes group is responsible for supporting and promoting the voting among peers. At MC votes, everyone is welcomed.MC Votes needs you! The group is looking for three students ambassadors to join the cause and help to promote voter education to the college and community.Responsibilities of a student ambassador:
  • Participate in MC Votes committee meetings contributing ideas on how to engage students in voter registration, getting informed on issues and candidates, and election day voting
  • Assist with virtual and remote event planning
  • Perform outreach & recruiting for events and programs
  • Create digital marketing materials for social media and other outreach
  • Coordinate with MC Votes community partners from the Montgomery County Board of Elections, League of Women Voters, Vote Together, and MC Office of Community Engagement
  • Plan, promote, and staff MC’s Popcorn and Politics monthly voter engagement series April- November
  • Support planning for Spring and Fall 2022 election programming, including National Voter Registration Day, National Voter Education Week, and Party to the Polls
