Hi! My name is Karen Flores-Celestino, my pronouns are she/her, and this is my third and final year at MC. I’m currently a General Studies: SSAH major, but I hope to major in Sociology once I transfer to a 4-year institution next fall. I’m still unsure of what I aspire to do in the field of sociology. However, I am very passionate about social justice and advocacy, so I want a career that will allow me to fight for the issues that matter to me.
Outside of school, I enjoy driving around with the windows down while listening to music (alternative, indie, and classic rock are my favorite genres), playing guitar, taking photographs, and exploring new places. I joined The Advocate to explore my role in society and better understand how I can help educate and inform others about what is occurring on campus, in our country, and around the world.
