The MC Lady Raptors volleyball team was defeated by the Hagerstown Hawks in a close 3-1 match Tuesday evening. In their first loss of the season, the Raptors fell behind early, but battled back against an aggressive Hawks squad.
The Lady Raptors ran out of steam late in the match, however, with a few defensive plays proving costly. “We didn’t come back focused in the third game,” said Raptors head coach Amir Mafinejad. “We were struggling defending one area of the court. We kept battling throughout the game and they made great adjustments.”
The Lady Raptors volleyball squad is now 2-1 on the season.
