Congratulations to the Class of 2025! This commencement ceremony was held on Friday, May 23rd from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the track field.

The enthusiastic display and cheers that graduates received from their loved ones was exhilarating to witness. It was definitely a moment to remember.

The excitement of students going on stage to get their associate’s degree was felt by not only the families watching, but also by their friends and peers.

By 10:47 a.m., President Jermaine Williams came on stage with a pleased expression, seeing all the students before him.
“Welcome Montgomery College class of 2025. This is truly a magnificent day. I am proud that so many families and friends could be here to join us for this momentous event. To our faculty and staff, today is also for you.” – Dr Williams says as he welcomed graduates, staff and guests who showed up.
Throughout his transformative speech, Dr. Williams continuously applauded the diverse student body at Montgomery College and emphasized the importance of DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) principles that have encouraged and uplifted MC students to where they are today. Towards the end of Dr Williams’s speech, he mentioned the word “Commencement” informing us that it means new beginning. For the graduates, they are about to start a new beginning in their lives after the trials and tribulations they went through.
“Wow, graduates, family, friends, and guests. Today is a wonderful day; To be surrounded by loved ones and celebrate this milestone is such a fantastic experience. As we hope to lift the achievements of today’s graduates, I want to acknowledge all of those who have supported them along the way. The relationships they made with both loved ones and friends who live locally or lives in other states will live on forever. On that note, there are 116 countries represented by the class of 2025. Each of you have been nurtured by people who have carried your goals in their hearts. They believe in you and encourage you. Their support has enabled you to stay focused on your talents and progress. Today is a day to appreciate them as well.” – Dr Williams concluded, giving the class of 2025 words of encouragement before saying farewell.
Although the memories we shared with people close to us hurts now that they are gone, there is a good in ‘goodbye’. It was an absolute pleasure to attend the ceremony, seeing my peers, including some of our very own Advocates Samantha Flores, Kyle Meister, Nijat Sharifov and Erin Monaghan graduate. With that being said, congratulations to all of the students from class of 2025. Farewell and good luck with wherever life takes you!
