Club Rush at MC is traditionally held on Wednesday during the third week of classes each semester. This gives students enough time to settle into their school and work schedules, said Val Melgosa, the Student Life Specialist at the Rockville campus.

However, this semester, Club Rush is taking place a couple weeks later than usual, on Feb. 20, during the fifth week of classes. The volunteer fair will be held on Feb. 6, because that was the only day that would work, Melgosa said. The following Wednesday is Ash Wednesday, which is considered a holiday. College staff was advised not to schedule things on that day, according to Melgosa, so Club Rush could not take place that week.

Club Rush will take place on Feb. 20 in the Theatre Arts arena from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Students who attend can speak with current club members, get more information about clubs and sign up for clubs.

Melgosa said that there are 60 tables available at Club Rush and they are usually filled up, although some of the groups at tables are not necessarily clubs.
