The air was filled with chatter and laughter as Montgomery College students gathered in the Theatre Arts building on Wednesday, February 1. The Office of Student Life hosted a yearly event known as Involvement Fest, where students affiliated with clubs at Montgomery College come together to promote their clubs to the student body.
What is so important about activities like this is that they help to establish a sense of community at MC and bring many students together. Whether you’re interested in giving back to the community, learning about history or studying abroad, the clubs at MC are definitely for you. The Office of Student Life strategically arranged the Theatre Arts building to accommodate all the participating clubs at MC. With the smell of popcorn and the festive music, it was a good place to learn about clubs at MC and maybe even meet some new people.
The Office of Student Life is planning more events like this, and if you’re interested in learning more about different clubs and the happenings at MC, feel free to visit the Office of Student life on the ground floor of the Campus Center. There, you can discover ways to join different clubs, create your own club, or maybe even reconstitute an old club. Either way, the Involvement Fest was a good example of how engaged students can really make a college atmosphere all the more exciting and enjoyable.
